Amy Ishigo, O.D.

Dr. Ishigo received her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. She then completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. She enjoys fitting specialty contact lenses for difficult cases such as keratoconus. She is also passionate about slowing the progression of nearsightedness in children through myopia management and managing ocular surface diseases.

She is caring and takes the time to listen to all her patients’ needs. She enjoys building relationships with her patients and getting to know them and their families with each visit.

Dr. Ishigo was raised in the San Fernando Valley but is very familiar with Gardena. She grew up visiting her relatives on many weekends and holidays in the area and also at the then Ishigo Bakery that her grandma, uncles and aunt ran. She is very excited to serve the South Bay community (in a different way!) as the Ishigos have in the past. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching korean dramas, golfing and doing barre workouts.
